Love Island 2021 viewers were left gobsmacked last night in a recoupling that ruffled feathers and saw new bombshell Georgia Townend dumped from the villa.
In the explosive scenes, Toby Aromolaran chose to recouple with new contestant Abigail Rawlings instead of Chloe Burrows.
Shortly after Hugo Hammond stood up and picked Chloe, but did not mince his words as he used the moment to make a thinly-veiled dig at Toby.

In Hugo’s recoupling speech he called Chloe “bootiful” and “clever” and said: “If I’m completely honest, she doesn’t deserve to be treated the way she has been these past 24 hours and I firmly believe that a lot of this ‘test’ stuff is complete bull****”
“You deserve someone who is honest and communicate with you. And, who knows what could happen, stranger things have happened.
“So the girl I would like to couple up with is Chloe.”
Love Island viewers react to Hugo Hammond’s explosive recoupling speech
Both viewers at home and Hugo’s fellow housemates were left shocked and torn by the speech.
Faye Winter, and unsurprisingly Toby, were left reeling by the remarks, while Lucinda Strafford, who is now coupled up with Aaron Francis, appeared to agree.
Viewers at home were also divided. Some praised the jaw-dropping speech backing Chloe and making the series interesting.
One commented: “Toby acting like he’s not done wrong by Chloe during Hugo’s speech! Go on Hugo!! Love Island is finally getting interesting.”
Chloe Burrows was saved by Hugo Hammond
However, others accused Hugo of double standards after he spoke up for Chloe but didn’t for Kaz Kamwi.
Earlier on in the series Hugo encouraged Toby to ditch Kaz for Chloe, reports The Mirror.
One commented: “My only questions for Hugo is will you be able to finish what you’ve started? And where was this energy when Kaz was being disrespected?? #LoveIsland”
While another added: “For the tweet challenge: I find it interesting that Hugo decided to stand up for Chloe when she was “disrespected” but totally encouraged Toby to snake Kaz with the very same girl #LoveIsland.”
