Explaining to ITV viewers at home, he said: “Here it is, when you buy something at McDonald’s on the receipt is something called “food for thought” and you have a code, you can then go online, fill in a quick survey and you’ll get another code which you can then exchange in the restaurant for a £1.99 Big Mac and fries.

Martin added: “Sometimes they’ll let you switch that to a Veggie Deluxe or a Filet-O-Fish and you can have a side salad instead of fries.”
Outlining how to go about the hack, Martin continued: “So here’s what you do… go in and buy 20p sweet curry, you get the receipt, you put that code in at the shop, then you go fill in the survey and you get your Big Mac and Fries for £1.99.
“When you buy that you get another receipt, on the receipt is another code and you can fill in another survey and then the next time you want a Big Mac and fries go in and you can keep repeating £1.99.
“You’ll never pay the £4 for the Big Mac and fries.”
