Afternoon tea is a great way to treat yourself or that special someone.
There are many places across the city you can visit for an indulgent brunch or lunch with family or friends.
And as it’s currently Afternoon Tea Week, it’s the perfect excuse to book yourself in somewhere for tea, sandwiches and sweet treats.
Here are a number of places in Belfast that offer that bit of elegance, and they are all priced around £30 or under per person.
There are a number of different afternoon tea options at this five star hotel in the city including vegan, traditional and vegetarian options and others that are served with champagne or cocktails.
The traditional option is priced at £32.50 on Monday to Friday and £37.50 at weekends.
It features finger sandwiches, scones, seasonal cakes, pastries, sweet treats, tea and coffee.
Ten Square Hotel
Afternoon Tea in The Loft, Ten Square is served on signature 3-tiered silver tea-stands, loaded with sweet and savoury afternoon treats.
It’s served every Thursday to Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and is priced at £19.50, but other options including alcohol are also available.
The Fitzwilliam Hotel
A selection of freshly baked scones, an array of homemade cakes and mouth-watering pastries in this five star hotel.
It’s currently served every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm and is priced from £30.00 per person.
The Culloden has an afternoon tea option based on hit TV show Bridgerton.
It’s £35 per person and includes soup, sandwiches, treats – with the option of upgrading with a cocktail or champagne.
Grand Central Hotel
Two options are available here including afternoon tea for two in the Observatory with finger sandwiches, savouries, pastries, cakes, scones, teas and coffees for £80.00.
The other is ‘ Jawbox G&Tea Afternoon Tea ‘ which features treats inspired by the botanicals and flavours of Jawbox Gin, complemented with an exclusive ‘Jonathan’s Twist’ Cocktail priced at £100.00 for two people.
Afternoon tea here is served in the elegant surroundings of the Harland Bar.
Booking times available from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, Regular Afternoon Tea is £29 per person, Sparkling Afternoon Tea is £35 per person and Veuve Clicquot Champagne Afternoon Tea is £40 per person.
Afternoon tea at the Europa Hotel is served daily in the Piano Lounge made with local ingredients.
It’s available from 2pm to 5pm and is £30 per person, or £40 if you opt for the sparkling option.
Tipsy Tea here is every Friday and Saturday and is a spirited afternoon of savoury sandwiches, sweet treats and cocktails.
It’s available from 12pm to 4pm and is priced at £29.50 per person with gin cocktails, or £44.50 per person with champagne cocktails.
Afternoon tea is served from 12pm Friday and Saturday at this South Belfast B&B and tearoom, and is priced at £25pp.
Each booking has a maximum stay of 90 minutes.
