ITV2 is yet to officially announce the Love Island final date but it looks like narrator Iain Stirling may have let it slip on Sunday night’s episode.
The dramatic instalment, which saw the fallout between Faye Winter and Teddy Soares continue, also ended on another cliffhanger, with two contestants set to be dumped from the island.
But not before Iain appeared to confirm the finale date while discussing Mary Bedford and Dale Mehmet’s relationship.

“Mary wants to take things slowly with Dale,” Iain explained. “Mary you’ve got all the time in the world, and by all the time in the world I do mean Monday, August 23, after which you’re out on your ear.”
If that’s the case it leaves just two weeks left of villa drama to keep viewers entertained.
Following the shock announcement, many took to social media.
Love Island lets slip 2021 finale date and there’s not long to go
“Not Iain giving us the finale date. August 23rd.” wrote one ITV2 viewer.
While another added: “Did Iain just casually announce the finale date? August 23rd?”
And a third commented: “So the final is two weeks tomorrow.”
Love Island 2021 started on June 28 and there’s been plenty of explosive drama since it first aired.
On Sunday night’s show a public vote left Abigail Rawlings, Mary Bedford and Kaz Kamwi vulnerable, alongside Dale Mehmet, Tyler Cruickshank and Jake Cornish.
Their fate now lies in their fellow contestants’ hands, with the results expected to be announced on Monday’s show.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
