The postcodes where the most homes have sold in Wales this year have been revealed.
Research from estate agency Keller Williams UK has revealed the 20 postcodes which have been the most popular in 2021.
Across England and Wales, 197,041 transactions have successfully been completed since the start of this year. Cardiff’s CF14 postcode has seen the highest number of all postcodes with 251 sales, with the CF5 postcode in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan behind with 156 sales.

Postcodes in Newport, Bridgend and Swansea have also made the list.
With the number of active buyers increasing, house prices are soaring in many regions as people scramble to try to secure a new home.

The reason for such a surge in buyers, say Welsh estate agents, is people looking for a new way of living, away from urban centres now that a large proportion of people are able to work from home.
House sales surged to record levels in June amid a “frenzied rush” of buyers to beat the stamp duty deadline. However, annual house price growth showed signs of easing in July, the month that a stamp duty holiday started to be tapered in the UK.

Meanwhile it’s recently been revealed that half of people who bought a home during the coronavirus pandemic regret how much they paid, according to a survey. Some 94% of people who had purchased a home since March, 2020, said they had felt under pressure to buy quickly, typically taking just 46 minutes to view their property, Aviva found.
Around nine in 10 (92%) pandemic buyers had since found problems with their home that they had not noticed during the viewing.
The insurer interviewed 2,200 UK home owners as part of its “how we live” research, including 500 who had agreed a purchase between March, 2020 and June, 2021.
