I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is officially returning to Gwrych Castle in in Abergele and not the Australian jungle.
ITV confirmed Wales would be the location for the 2021 series last week, and since then the line-up rumour mill has gone into overdrive. You can read the full list of celebrities rumoured to be heading into the castle here.
And while it will be some time before bosses confirm the official line-up, one Welsh star has indicated she could be heading to the castle.
Former Big Brother star and model Imogen Thomas recently replied to a fan’s question about signing up to the 2021 series, and it’s safe to say her reply has got people talking.
The 38-year-old answered a question from one of her 281,000 followers on Instagram, reports Express.co.uk.
She was quizzed about the show, with someone writing: “I heard you are going in the jungle… true?”
I’m A Celeb 2021 rumours continue following Imogen Thomas’ cryptic post
In an ambiguous response, the former Big Brother contestant simply replied with seven prayer emojis, suggesting she is hoping to be on the show.
Imogen won the Miss Wales award back in 2003, and three years later she appeared on the seventh series of Big Brother.
And while Imogen is hopeful, some celebrities have ruled themselves out of the show altogether.
According to sources, ITV bosses were facing “chaos” after a popular star reportedly quit the show now it’s in Wales, with others getting “cold feet”.
A source told The Sun : “One popular star dropped out immediately. Bosses are still in talks with loads of top celebs about taking part and feel confident this won’t put people off given last year’s success.”
Television presenter Denise Van Outen also revealed she wouldn’t be signing up for the show this year.
She said: “I do get asked to do it [I’m A Celeb] but there is no chance I can do it this year because I am at Proud [performing in a variety show]. I will do it at some point. I think I’m A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.”
“It has to be Australia for me, not Wales – as much as I love the Welsh,” she added. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest”. You can read more on this here.
