The One Show created a beautiful montage of tributes for Alex Jones as she appeared on her last episode before heading off on maternity leave.
The Welsh presenter is set to give birth to her third child, her first daughter, this year and made her last appearance on the One Show on Friday night.
The 44-year-old mum to Kit and Teddy is expecting to make a return to the show this Autumn.

Starting off the lovely tributes was a message from a viewer called Pauline who described how Alex had brightened up her days throughout lockdown.
Pauline said: “The trials and tribulations of the pandemic have been eased by Alex, her infectious giggle and accent, getting more and more Welsh the more excited she gets, has kept our spirits up. She has no idea how good she is, she gives one big thank you to lots of folks so let’s give her one huge big thank you before she goes on maternity.”

Ronan Keating kicked off the messages and said: “You deserve one big thank you, you have been here for everyone the past year, every evening at 7pm. You have made us laugh, you have made us cry, but you have been there, always, thank you, from everybody on Team One Show.”
One of the new co-presenters, Jermaine Jenas said: “Alright Alex, I just wanted to say good luck with everything, I bet you can’t wait to meet that beautiful little girl of yours. Don’t worry though, I’m going to be holding down the fort whilst you are gone, but honestly, since arriving you have been nothing but a huge help to me, so please don’t take too long, get yourself back alright.”
The tributes included a lovely message from her parents, Alun and Mary, who described how excited they were to meet their granddaughter.
Mary said: “Hi Alex, we just want to say how very proud we are of you and how you have continued to work throughout this pandemic. Good luck with your new arrival, our granddaughter, we know of someone else who is very proud of you, in fact you used to have him hanging on your bedroom wall, bye!”
Their message was followed by Jason Donovan, and mirroring the comment made by Alex’s mum, he too had a poster of Alex hanging on his wall.
He said: “Alex! Baby number three, awesome. We are going to miss you but I have got that picture of you on my wall so I’m going to be okay.”
Alex’s husband Charlie also made an appearance, and lovingly said: “Hiya love! Bet you didn’t expect to see me on here did you. Massively looking forward to baby number three and pretty sure you are too, the boys are super excited and selfishly can’t wait to have you home for a few months in the evenings. So love you doll, see you when you get home, there will be pizza in the oven.”
The clip also featured messages from viewers of the show who expressed their thanks for her cheery appearance every night at 7pm.
After watching the montage of clips, a teary-eyed Alex thanked everyone for their kind messages and said how it is still hard leaving the show for maternity leave even though this is the third time she has done it.
She said: “Oh well you know me I cry at the slightest thing, but it has been honestly, being here has just been superb I have loved doing it every night.
“I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has knitted lovely gifts for the baby, there is about 24 cardigans, she is going to be in cardigan heaven this little girl.
“I’ve loved every minute, it is very hard to leave.”
In a tweet after the show, Alex added: “I’m overwhelmed by all your kind messages after tonight’s show!!!! The thing is…working on the one show during the pandemic has kept me sane and I am truly grateful for your warm welcome every night. I’m off to have our little girl now and swap the green sofa for bath time.”
Alex said she hopes to be back on the show in the autumn.
