Fans of Karate Kid spin-off Cobra Kai will be pleased to know that the fourth series of the hugely successful comedy/drama will return to Netflix this year.
It’s a double-edged Katana however as the All Valley gang won’t be back until December 2021, as per the first promo, released today (August 5).
Cobrai Kai sees Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) back in the Dojos as they train a new generation of karate-lovers. The reboot was first aired on YouTube but Netflix snapped it up and send it stratospheric.
When’s it out?
So far Netflix have only said ‘Coming this December’ in the latest teaser video.
We’ll update this as soon as we know the actual date.
How many episodes will there be?
As with the previous seasons, there’ll be 10 episodes. And they’re likely to run at 30 minutes each.
Who’s in the cast?
As mentioned, Macchio and Zabka will return as will their character’s, now joint, nemesis John Kreese, actor Martin Kove.
Making a comeback to the Karate Kid universe is Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver, the main baddie in the third Karate Kid film.
The kids will be back too, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), Hawk (Jacob Bertrand), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), Sam (Mary Mouser), Tory (Peyton List) and many more from the first three series.
