The Doctor Foster and Scott and Bailey actress will play Victoria who despite appearances is struggling with her mental health and the effect this has on her life.
This episode will explore issues such as the pressure on women to have it all from a great job to a family and how many women struggle to reach out for help.
Other cast members will include Ashley Walters (Top Boy) and Alice Feetham (Save Me) and the series has been produced by Dominic Savage.
Surrane said: “We all know that mental health can come from huge trauma, but I read a quote which said “mental health isn’t a novel, it doesn’t need to be about anything” and that has stuck with me…I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone. I wanted to see what this would bring out.”
There will be two more episodes, I Am Danielle airing on Thursday, August 12 and I Am Maria, August, 19 – however if you don’t want to wait for the weekly episodes all three episodes will be available on All 4 from August 5.
Letitia will star in I Am Danielle and this episode will explore falling in love in the modern world and Lesley Manville will take the lead in I Am Maria which will look at lifelong relationships and growing older.
