Celebrity Masterchef 2021 starts next week but there’ll be a big change to the show’s format when it does air on BBC One.
Chefs Gregg Wallace and John Torode will return to the competition to judge the plates from stars such as Katie Price, Megan McKenna, Joe Swash, Kem Cetinay and more. You can read more about the line-up here.
And now the judges have revealed the one difference viewers will see due to Covid-19, and they’re pretty happy about it.
During filming this February in the middle of lockdown, John was no longer allowed to share a dish with Gregg while tasting the celebs’ grub, which delighted them both, reports The Mirror.
“No more plate-sharing was just brilliant,” Gregg said.
“Masterchef is now as mainstream as the shipping forecast on Radio 4, but all I care about is having my own plate of food.”
Celebrity Masterchef 2021 starts on Monday, August 9 and will see 20 celebrities go head to head over five weeks.
