Love Island: Recoupling drama as Liam returns alone, but Millie learns what happened at Casa Amor

Shockwaves were sent through the Love Island villa in tonights episode as the boys returned from Casa Amor in a dramatic recoupling.

And all eyes were on Liam, who was a fan favourite before the dramatic relationship test but had his head turned by one of the new girls.

Liam had been coupled up with Millie before leaving for Casa Amor, but their relationship was put to the test when Liam started to get to know new girl Lillie.

Viewers had been left furious as the 21-year-old from Merthyr was sharing a bed with Lillie, while original parter Millie is left pining in the main villa.

On Wednesday, Liam’s sister claimed his Casa Amor anticts have resulted in death threats.

Niamh Reardon, who is running the bricklayer’s social media accounts, has blasted trolls for sending nasty messages and reminded viewers to be kind.

In tonights episode, Liam returned to the villa in the dramatic recoupling.

While there was initial relief from all of the original islanders – including Millie – to see the Welsh lad arrive alone, his antics soon blew up in his face.

Before saying goodbye, Lillie dropped the bombshell that Liam had shown an interest in her.

In his romantic speech to Millie, Liam said: “Time apart was hard but I’m back where I belong. I’m over the moon.

“We got tested in more than one way. Being apart from somebody makes you realise where your heart is and mine has been up in this villa the whole time.”

But Lillie soon lifted the lid on the tests by stating she had enjoyed a connection with one of the original boys during their time in Casa Amor, announcing that man to be Liam.

“I feel like it was very recipicated. I felt like it was really 50/50,” said Lillie, to the shock of all around the firepit.

Reacting to Lillie’s revelations, Liam said: “I’m here on my own for a reason.”

To which Millie, clearly shocked at Lillie’s news said: “You should have just come back with her then.”

Later in the episode, Liam took Millie to the side to explain his side of what happened in Casa Amor. While he admitted to kissing and sharing a bed with Lillie, he said: “Her being there completely cemented for me how I feel about you.

“I won’t be giving up. I’ve realised what I want, and that’s you.”

Speaking in the beach hut, Millie said: “In the beach hut “I’m embarrassed, I just feel mugged off – my head is gone right now.”

Liam is not the only islander at the centre of the drama, in last nights episode the islanders were shocked as Toby returned to the villa with new girl Mary – leaving, Abi, who had stayed faithful single.

Following the recoupling, back at the main Villa, Toby speaks with Abigail, he says: “I’m speechless. I don’t even know what to say. I didn’t know where your head was at?”

Abigail says: “Do you like her?”

Toby says: “Yeah, but I like you as well.”

Abigail says: “I’d rather you say you really like her because then it would be worth it.”

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Abigail says: “How many lessons does one guy need, seriously? Why would you throw me away?”

In tonights episode, Kaz recoupled with Matthew while Tyler came back to the villa with Clarice.

Faye also recoupled with Sam after thinking Teddy had recoupled, only for him to come home single.

The dramatic recoupling caused a stir on social media with one viewer saying: “My heart is breaking for Millie… what a cruel way to break the news to her.”

With another questioning Liam’s honesty: “If lillie didn’t say anything, Millie wouldn’t have known, Liam was deffo going to keep it a secret.”

Love island continues tomorrow on ITV 2.
