Soccer aid seating plan: Where is the best place to sit and how much are tickets?

It’s almost time for Soccer Aid again and this year fans will be able to spectate after 2020’s event took place behind closed doors due to the pandemic.

Soccer Aid is an annual televised event that has raised over £47 million so far in aid of UNICEF UK.

The set-up is a friendly-style football match between two teams, England and the Soccer Aid World XI squad composed of celebrities and former professional players.

It was created in 2006 by Robbie Williams and Freddy Shepherd and initially took place every two years.

This year, Wayne Rooney is coming out of retirement to throw on the England shirt along with other star players.

When is Soccer Aid 2021?

Soccer Aid is set to take place on Saturday, September 4 2021 and kick-off will be at 7:30pm. For the first time ever the charity event will be hosted at Man City ’s Etihad Stadium.

Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Olly Murs will be among those representing England, with Usain Bolt, Partice Evra, Roberto Carlos and Ronan Kemp playing for the World team.

How to get tickets and where is the best place to sit

Tickets for the game can be bought on the Soccer Aid website where a seating plan can be seen. Pitch-side seats are available that provide the best view of all the action but they do amp up the price of the tickets.

The cheaper tickets are towards the back of the stadium at the top of the stands, but with screens and a good view from wherever, any seat is guaranteed to provide a great time.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices start at £21 for adults and £10.50 for kids. They go up to as much as £75 for adults and £30 for children for the most exclusive seats in the stadium.

The money raised from the ticket purchases goes to charity.

Soccer Aid will also be broadcast live on ITV and STV so is free for those looking to watch the event from home.
